The special character of the northern Ardèche countryside is reflected in the fact that L’Ardechois lies on the edge of the “Parc Naturel Régional des Monts d’Ardèche.” The Ardèche is perfect for day trips in the area, such as visiting the Cascade de Ray Pic waterfall, the ancient volcano ‘Gerbier du Jonc,’ or the highest mountain in the Ardèche, Mont Mézenc. The surroundings are ideal for sporty cyclists and hikers.

Camping

L’Ardechois is a small, family-run campsite in a natural setting. Managed by Dutch owners, the campsite has a special atmosphere where you feel truly welcome, not just a number. It is ideal for those who love peace and comfort. The campsite is divided into two sections (separated by a quiet road) with various terraces. Safari tents with bathroom and lodge tents with bathroom and loft are located on a lower plateau near the small river Gluyère. Other lodge tents with private bathroom and loft are situated higher up on a long terrace overlooking the valley. The Tendi lodge tents offer 3 bedrooms and a cosy veranda with lounge set.

In the Gluyère river, children can swim, build dams, and go fishing. Of course, there is also a lovely heated swimming pool with separate children’s pool, sunbeds, straw parasols, and stunning views. In high season, there is fun (Dutch-speaking) children’s entertainment, a sports field, and several playgrounds. In the village of St. Sauveur-de-Montagut (8 km) you will find all facilities such as a supermarket, bakeries, butcher, shops with local products, post office, tourist office, cafés, restaurants, and a small Saturday market.
